Ariela Griggs won 1st place in the Youth Classical Voice division of the Music International Grand Prix competition 2021.
Julia Downes has been cast as Blanche in Kota Productions' "Jane Eyre" in 2021! http://www.kotaproductions.com/janeeyre
Jake Miller starred as Gustav in the National Tour of "Love Never Dies", the Andrew Lloyd Webber sequel to "Phantom of the Opera". He was also on the National Tour of "Freaky Friday" after performing at the world premiere at the Arlington Signature Theatre, and recorded the official Soundtrack album. He performed the title role of OLIVER at Arena Stage in Washington, DC in the fall of 2015, sang America the Beautiful at the US Open Tournament in NY in 2015, and performed as a soloist in the 2016 New York Summer Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. He performed the voice over for EEP on The Mother Goose Club, and recorded a song for "The Rise of the Mighty I.T." for ESPN about Kobe Bryant.
Carleigh Hopkins will be attending NYU in 2022. She performed leading roles in numerous regional and community theatre productions.
Amanda Krew and Walker Phillips won 1st place in the Maryland/DC State NATS competition, and Megan Ehrlich won 2nd place. Amanda Krew won 1st place in the 2015 Regional Mid-Atlantic NATS competition and Walker Phillips won 2nd place. Amanda Krew was accepted to Oberlin, Peabody, CCM, Hartt School of Music, Mannes, Manhattan School of Music, New England Conservatory, and is now attending Oberlin Conservatory. Ashley Jeffers received Honors in Musical Theatre in the Virginia State NATS Auditions, where Walker Phillips won 3rd place..
Walker Phillips was a National Semi Finalist of the NATS competition, after having won 1st place at both the MD/DC State and Mid-Atlantic Region NATS Auditions 2014. His category was High School Men, Classical.
Amanda Krew won 1st place in the 2014 MD/DC NATS State Auditions. She was accepted to the summer programs at Tanglewood, Brevard (with scholarship), Interlochen, and Walnut Hill. She attended the Washington Opera Summer Vocal Institute. She has won Voice Honors at Peabody and won the prestigious Silver Vella Recital. She was accepted to Oberlin Conservatory, Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Peabody Conservatory, and more.
Jae Jin, who studied for a year with Ms. Muscat, is now enjoying a successful solo career. He has a record deal with SONY Music - Korea, was a featured performer on the NETFLIX series House of Cards, and he is currently touring the globe. Read more at: http://www.jaejinmusic.com/
Casey McMahon was accepted to Interlochen's summer institute with a $1,000 Merit Scholarship.
Gina Perregrino won 1st place at numerous competitions, Peabody Voice Honors, etc., and was offered scholarships to both Peabody Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music. She chose to attend Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Mignon Dunn with the Liberace Scholarship. She completed her Bachelors Degree, and her Masters in 2016. Gina is already singing professionally, with engagements at the Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Michigan Opera, Atlanta Opera, Central City Opera, Querida Opera in Guatemala, and received an Encouragement Award in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Gina won the Opera Foundation award and is now a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin where she is covering the title role in Carmen.
Matthew Morris won 1st place at the State NATS Auditions and 3rd place at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Auditions and was accepted to Juilliard with Presidential Distinction after studying with me for three years. After graduating from Juilliard, he received his Masters from Bard College and is having an exceptional career, singing leading roles in the US and Europe. He made his Kennedy Center recital debut in 2015, gave a master class at Peabody, was an Administrator for SongFest, a premiere young artists program, and is now the Director of Opera at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Sarah Hayashi won 1st place at both State and Regional NATS, was accepted to Peabody Conservatory where she graduated with a Bachelor and Master of Music in 5 years, attended the Royal College of Music in London where she obtained a professional Certificate in Voice, sang Blonde in Bronx Opera's "The Abduction from the Seraglio" and recently won 2nd place in the National Handel Competition.
Annie Sherman studied with Ms. Muscat for 3 years at Peabody Preparatory. She was accepted to Stanford University, and then the music department at UCLA where she received her degree in Vocal Performance. She has been touring the country as Elsa in "The Sound of Music" National Tour.
